Antique collars look truly amazing around the neck, and this one is certainly no exception and can be worn in more way than one.
Made in sterling silver in the 1890's, the collar is made up of the most incredible design that looks more and more amazing the closer you get to it. The workmanship is just incredible and measures 1.3cm wide. Laid out from end to end, the collar on its own measures 42.5cm, however there is an extension link that measures an additional 5cm and can be used to either lengthen the collar, or attached to the bolt ring to hang something from it, such as a photo locket as seen in one of the images. Please note, that the locket is not included with the sale of the collar, but is available here for additional purchase: https://www.kalmarantiques.com.au/product/antique-sterling-silver-photo-locket-from-the-victorian-era/ .
With the extension off, a locket can still easily be attached to the bolt ring, and with the option to wear it longer or shorter, with or without something attached, there is no doubt that this locket will always be admired from near or far.
