Antique sterling silver enamel pendant by Charles Horner

Here is a delightful and vibrant antique sterling silver enamel pendant by Charles Horner in 1912 and looks as beautiful today as when it was made well over 100 years ago.

Although Charles Horner died in 1896, the company with the name continued until 1984. Famous for his Dorcas thimbles which were a combination of steel and silver, he also became well known for his Art Nouveau enamel pendants and jewellery such as this one here.

Measuring 21.8mm across by 39.6mm or 43mm to the top of the bail for the chain, the pendant incorporates two sections both with such a lovely soft blue that looks striking when sitting on the neckline and emphasises the elegant style of the Art Nouveau period.

A pendant such as this will so easily suit a woman of any age and be perfect for any occasion as well as making a wonderful start into collecting antique jewellery.
