Antique suffragette pendant from the Edwardian era

The Suffragette movement was pivotal in such things as giving the right to vote to women, and was a very strong and powerful movement that started in the late 1800’s, and is easily recognisable by having three main colours, green, white and violet which makes such a wonderful colour combination.

Made in 9 carat gold, set into this pendant that dates from the early 1900’s, it is set with peridot for the green, pearls for the white and amethyst for the violet in such an elegant design. The way the amethysts are suspended at the bottom, to the peridot in the centre and double chain that leads to the bail for a chain to pass through, all make this such a beautiful pendant to wear for any occasion.

Measuring 25.5mm across by 61.5mm, this pendant is both as important and beautiful today as it was when it was made over 100 years ago.
