Aquamarine and diamond drop earrings from the Art Deco era

These Are Deco earrings were hand made in platinum. Platinum was popular between the two world wars as it is the purest of all the precious metals used in jewellery. It also has the major advantage of being incredibly strong even when drawn into a fine wire.

The Art Deco period between both World Wars from the 1920’s to the 1940’s and the jewellery has remained popular ever since. Often embracing a geometric design that often incorporated a “shape in a shape” style where a round diamond would be set into a square setting, Art Deco jewellery is the most often reproduced style today. However there is nothing quite like a genuine piece of Art Deco jewellery that has been all hand made during a wonderful hedonistic era.
