Living in the Art Deco era of the 1920's and 30's would have been a time of great decadence, style and sophistication, and there is nothing quite like an Art Deco piece of jewellery right from this era such as this magnificent Art Deco lariat necklace right from the era of The Great Gatsby.
A lariat necklace is one that hangs long and as can be seen in the second image on the top row of photos, it is one continuous chain and is simply worn around the neck and wrapped around itself and especially looks great when the two ends are at different lengths.
Made in 9ct rose gold, from end to end the chain measures 70.5cm in length, and at each end are wonderful pieces of rose quartz wrapped in a very elegant rose gold frame and set with 4 pearls at each end with a further pearl above the rose quartz.
This piece was made by the prestigious English jewellery firm of J.C. Vickery and is complete with its original fitted box.
Art Deco jewellery such as this Art Deco lariat is a great example of why Art Deco jewellery has remained so popular over the years and a piece of Art Deco jewellery such as this would be great for any occasion including as making something very special for a wedding or anniversary.
Art Deco lariats are so hard to find, and to get one with rose quartz and natural pearls is just superb and by a famous maker in its original box makes this a truly spectacular Art Deco lariat that will always be admired.
