Art Deco pearl and diamond bracelet in original box

Made to such an exquisite standard is this Art Deco pearl and diamond bracelet complete with its original box.
Made in the early 1920's by the British jewellery company H. Hallpike Ltd, the bracelet is set with all natural pearls and platinum sections set with diamonds in such an elegant design.

Today pearls are cultured where a "seed" is planted into the oyster, but until this technique was used, pearls could only have been found that occurred naturally. It is thought that this happens to every 1 in 5,000 or even 1 in every 10,000 pearls growing in the wild and not in oyster farms so to obtain as in this bracelet 138 natural pearls is incredible.
Furthermore, it is not just the number of pearls that were obtained, but also that they are matched so well in size, shape, colour, lustre and quality.

Each pearl in individually knotted in a very attractive design and then there is the diamond section in the middle to really make this Art Deco bracelet stand out even more.
The centre section made entirely in platinum is set with 57 diamonds in such an elegant Art Deco design.
Typical of the way diamonds were set during the 1920's Art Deco period, they are all finished with the milgrain setting which can be seen as the elegant crimping along the sides of the setting.

Then at the clasp, there are a further 18 diamonds to add that further elegance to an already stunning bracelet.
In total the 75 diamonds total 1.44 carats and some sensational sparkle and elegance to the bracelet.
From end to end the bracelet measures 18cm in length and the centre diamond section measures 2.1cm wide and the pearl bracelet section 1.5cm wide.

Fitted in its original signed box, even the box is beautifully designed and made with the tongue clasp sliding discreetly into a lower section to allow just the main part of the bracelet to be shown upon opening the box.

Both on the wrist or in its original box, this is a magnificent example of fine quality Art Deco jewellery at its absolute best.
