The Art Nouveau period of the late 19th to the early 20th century, inspired such unique jewellery as can be seen here in this lovely antique Art Nouveau emerald and diamond ring.
Art Nouveau jewellery often took a lot of its inspiration from nature with very free flowing designs that can be so easily seen here in this ring.
Hand made around 1900, the ring is made in 18ct gold and silver. It wasn’t until the around 1910 that white gold or platinum was used on top of the rings, and this silver technique was used right from the Georgian era up until the early 1900’s.
Then there are the diamonds which there are 6 on each side and one central diamond. All the diamonds are the very early rose cut diamonds so prized by antique collectors. These rose cut diamonds have a flat base and come up as a somewhat multi-sided pyramid.
Looking magnificent and set so proudly in the centre is the Colombian emerald that is such a perfect green and so vibrant. The emerald totals 0.30 carats and the diamonds 0.16 carats.
There is so much charm and character in this ring and this ring will look so amazing and spectacular and is what a unique piece of jewellery is all about especially one from the Art Nouveau era.
Art Nouveau jewellery is so unique and special and this Art Nouveau emerald and diamond ring is certainly no exception and looks magnificent on the finger.
