Australian South Sea pearl necklace

$39,000.00

There is nothing quite like the size, lustre and quality of the Australian South Sea pearl, and here is a truly magnificent Australian South Sea pearl necklace that feels so incredibly luxurious on that you will never want to take them off.

Some of the advantages of the Australian South Sea pearls over the Chinese freshwater pearls and Japanese Akoya pearls, is that thanks to the water that the South Sea pearls are in being so pristine, this allows the oyster to stay and grow in the water for a lot longer than the other pearls as the other oysters have a high mortality rate due to polluted waters. Being able to leave the oyster in the water longer will achieve a lot thicker nacre on the pearl, resulting in a much more luxurious and brilliant pearl.

Another advantage of the South Sea pearl is the size that can be produced with the majority being over 10mm in size. In this strand of 30 South Sea pearls, they graduate seamlessly from 13.1mm to 16.2mm and not only is the graduation of pearls achieved so well, but the colour and lustre of all the pearls match so well.

From end to end the strand measures 46cm and the clasp is both ingeniously and discreetly hidden into the two end pearls resulting in a seamless look when joined together.

These South Sea pearls are so elegant and stylish that they are sure to be appreciated every time that they are worn.
