Carved opal and diamond necklace

This opal and diamond necklace is truly like no other and is destined to always be admired and commented on for its unique design and beauty each time that it is worn.

Dating from the 1960’s, the necklace was made in 18 carat yellow and white gold and set with not just three pieces of solid white opal, but all of them have been beautifully carved into a flower design, each further highlighted by having a single cut diamond set into the centre. These diamonds total 0.22 carats and capture the eye perfectly while not taking away from the true beauty of the opals.

All of the opals show such a beautiful spectrum of colours from blues and greens all the way to red, and laid out from end to end the necklace measures 48cm in length allowing this to sit perfectly around the neckline.

This is such a unique and beautiful necklace, and one that will always stand out in a crowd.
