French antique hand painted diamond brooch made in the 1820's

Here is an exceptional antique brooch that was made in France in the early 1800's and is destined to always be admired every time that it is worn.

Not only is the mount made in 18 carat yellow gold, but the design itself is absolutely stunning with so much detail. Measuring 26.5mm by 33mm not only is the design remarkable, but it is also set with three rose cut diamonds to capture the light  and add to the charm and romance of the brooch even further.

Then there is the most charming hand painted miniature in the centre which is painted on mother of pearl which is quite unusual as many of these were painted on ivory. The detail in her face, hair and clothing is a testament to the quality of the artist who painted this brooch 200 years ago, and combined with the mount , all of this comes together to create a truly stunning and remarkable brooch that will not only look perfect on any outfit, but is sure to become a treasured family heirloom.
