Here is a gents 9ct yellow gold signet ring made in 1937 that is so elegant and comfortable to wear and sits nice and low on the finger, making it practical to put on and wear all the time.
With a lovely high polish to both the top and the band, the top is plain and would be able to be engraved with initials, a monogram or a family crest or left plain the way it is. The top measures 12.7mm by 12.6mm and has lovely soft angles that lead to an equally soft and contoured band.

Signet rings go as far back to ancient Egypt over 4,000 years ago, and use of the term “signet†or “sealâ€, is from the Latin “sigillum†(seal), diminutive of signum (sign) and dates back at least to the second half of the thirteenth century. This antique signet ring is set hand engraved on the sides.
