Ladies antique 18 carat gold LeCoultre pocket watch

Here is a magnificent antique pocket watch made by LeCoultre in the late 19th Century.

Prior to joining Edmund Jaeger in the early 1900's, LeCoultre had already made a name for themselves as one of the leading watchmakers in Switzerland, and with a pocket watch as beautiful both inside and out such as this one, it is easy to see why.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the case measures 26.7mm across by 39mm to the top of the bow, and even after more than 130 years have passed since being made, the dial is still as easy to read and in the same pristine condition as when it was made. Set with very elegant hands that point to the numerals set against the white dial, turning the pocket watch over reveals a beautiful design. The gold has been given a soft finish to it that adds to the charm and elegance of the pocket watch and is typical of high end work of the time.

Inside the movement has been serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty, and the crown at the top is not just for winding, as once the small pin above the 11 is pressed, turning the crown will then set the time.

This is such an elegant example of the early work from LeCoultre, and will no doubt always be loved and admired.
