By far the most famous of all the Danish jewellers of the late 19th century and early 20th century would have to be David Andersen, and here is a beautiful vintage enamel butterfly brooch that displays such wonderful colours.
Dating from the 1930's and made in sterling silver, the butterfly measures 54.5mm across by 30.3mm and will no doubt always look amazing on any outfit that it is worn on. Being this large in size will certainly make it get the attention from near or far and will no doubt always get the admiration that it rightly deserves.
With such incredible colours that seem to explode outwards, this is without a doubt one of the most colourful brooches that was ever made by David Andersen and showcases why David Andersen jewellery has always be highly prized and regarded.

A brief history on David Andersen:
David Andersen founded his company in Oslo (formerly Christiania) in 1876. David Andersen was an accomplished gold and silversmith who achieved great fame early on in his career thanks to his high standard of quality and influential designs in his jewellery. Twelve years after opening, he expanded his workshop and in 1892 opened a second store.
After his death in 1901, his son Arthur took over and instigated the hyphen between the name David and Andersen. He also introduced enamelling into the jewellery which was so success it has now become synonymous with David Andersen jewellery.
