This opal and diamond necklace sits perfectly on the neckline and is so elegant and will no doubt always be admired every time that it is worn.
Made in the 1920's Art Deco period in 18 carat gold and platinum, sitting gracefully at the bottom is a beautiful solid white Australian opal that measures 5.10 carats. Australia is home to not only over 90% of the worlds opals, but are also regarded as the finest in the world. With a beautiful body colour that shows blues through to red, it captures the light beautifully and is set on a knife edge bar that leads to a European cut diamond that measures 0.20 carats and sparkles beautifully.
The distance from the diamond to the bottom of the opal measures 4.2cm in length and laid out from end to end, the chain itself measures 37cm.
So regal and elegant, this is such a beautiful piece of Art Deco jewellery to be worn with pride.

Opal and diamond necklace made in the Art Deco era.
This Art Deco necklace is set with a 5.10 carat solid white opal from Australia. Australia produces between 90 to 95% of the worlds opals, and are still regarded as the home of the finest opals in the world. Not only this, but Australian opals are much more stable than Ethiopian opals which depending from which mine they are from, have a tendency to crack within a few years of being mined.
