Platinum Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring from the 1920's

Here is a ring that is truly spectacular from all angles and aspects and is destined to always be admired.
This platinum Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring from the 1920's was exquisitely hand made to the finest quality and the attention to detail is just spectacular.
Set in the centre as the star of the show is an incredible 3.22 carat natural sapphire that has not been heat treated. Heat treatment of sapphire and rubies has been done for centuries and is still done today to improve the colour and clarity of the stone and is a completely accepted practice, however it is always nice to get a sapphire that has not undergone any treatment whatsoever.
The colour from this sapphire is so intense and looks even more amazing set into the pure white of the platinum which was used to make many rings of the Art Deco era such as this one. Platinum has the incredible advantage over white gold to be made into such a fine wire all the while still being strong enough to support the sapphire and diamonds.
The diamonds go around the setting of the sapphire incredibly not just in a single row, but a double row. The detail that went into hand making this ring is just incredible and so spectacular to admire from all angles.
With the top row set with sixteen diamonds and the lower row set with ten more diamonds, on each side on those gorgeous shoulders are an additional eight diamonds each side. The total diamond weight in this ring is 0.42
The attention to detail is just incredible and all went to highlight that magnificent sapphire in the centre.
Perfect as an engagement ring or for any occasion, this unheat treated sapphire and diamond ring is just spectacular in all respects.

Description

Platinum Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring from the 1920's. Set with an unheat treated natural sapphire that measures 3.23 carats. Centuries ago, people discovered that if you put a sapphire or ruby into a fire it will improve its colour and clarity, and people have been heat treating sapphires and rubies for this reason. This treatment is worldwide accepted as a normal treatment and not deceiving in any way and is accepted as a standard treatment for sapphires and rubies, however this sapphire is certified as being completely natural with no heat treatment and displays a magnificent colour.
