Made in sterling silver, with each earring having 2 pearls and 4 diamonds, they are just wonderful.
Plique-a-jour enamelling refers to what is considered to be the most difficult of all the enamelling. It is sometimes referred to as "backless enamelling" or "backless cloisonne" because there is no phsical backing to the enamel - somewhat similar to a window pane.
