Here is a ladies Rolex watch that has one of the most amazing dials that were ever produced by Rolex.
This is the 18 carat yellow gold and steel ladies Rolex Datejust 26, that is fitted with the blue vignette dial that is further enhanced by the ten diamonds that capture the light so beautifully.
The Rolex vignette dial is made by applying over a painstakingly amount of time, lacquer to the dial by only their most experienced technicians. The dial is set on a rotating platform, and when the lacquer is applied the varnisher has to very carefully apply more coloured lacquer to the outer edge resulting in a darkening edge, in a stunning gradient that goes from a lighter colour in the centre, to an intense vivid colour.
Made in 1998 and fitted in the 26mm watch case, it is set on the 18 carat yellow gold and stainless steel Rolex Jubilee band that is in wonderful condition.
Inside it is powered by the 29 jewelled automatic Rolex calibre 2135 that has been serviced by our in-house watchmaker who himself used to work for Rolex, and comes with our twenty four month warranty. Not only are we able to service our Rolex watches along with the other brands that we sell, but we can also service your Rolex or any other Swiss watch or pocket watch that you may have, all done in store, and are an authorised OMEGA watch service centre.
Complete with its box and papers, this is one Rolex that is destined to always be loved and admired.

At Kalmar Antiques in the Queen Victoria Building. For over thirty five years, we have been dealing in fine quality watches, pocket watches and clocks.
Kalmar Antiques now employ a Rolex trained watchmaker on site!
When we expanded and renovated our store in late 2022, we put in a full watchmaking and polishing workshop. We also employ two watchmakers, and one who used to work for Rolex for nearly seven years. This allows us to be able to service your Rolex to Rolex standards, as well as other watch brands such as Omega, Cartier and Patek Philippe to name a few.
Kalmar Antiques are a fully authorised OMEGA watch service centre allowing us to service your Omega watch on-site.
We recommend to service your Rolex every five years. If you wear the watch in water, we strongly suggest having your Rolex watch, or any watch for that matter, pressure tested once a year.
