Triple cluster diamond ring

$3,800.00

Often jewellery of the Art Deco era of the 1920’s took a traditional design and made it special, and this is evident here in this gorgeous Art Deco triple diamond cluster ring.

Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum in the 1920’s, the way there are three cluster s of diamonds makes this ring so beautiful and unique. Combined with the fact that this ring could easily be worn alongside other Art Deco and antique jewellery as well as modern and always fit right in, this really is a wonderful ring that would so easily suit any finger.

Set with a total of twenty three single cut diamonds that totals 0.13 carats, the ring measures 7mm wide at the centre by 16.5mm across.

As beautiful and elegant today as when it was made, this is a wonderful example of just why genuine Art Deco jewellery of the 1920’s has always remained so popular and sought after.

What are single cut diamonds?

Single cut diamonds.

In recent years there has been such a resurgence for genuine antique cut diamonds, especially for engagement rings as many people realise that there is such a charm and character about antique cut diamonds, and although the reality is that they don’t sparkle as great as a modern round brilliant cut diamond, antique cut diamonds have a style and character all of their own that can never be matched.

The look of single cut diamonds.

Single cut diamonds are small diamonds usually around 0.01 carats to 0.05 carats and are often found on the shoulders of rings or surrounding a centre stone for example. While today modern technology will allow for a 0.01 carat diamond to have 58 facets and be a round brilliant cut diamond, single cut diamonds were used from the later part of the 19th Century up until around the 1930’s-1940’s. Commonly found with eight facets on the top (the crown) and eight facets on the bottom (the pavilion) these are sometimes found with total facets between 16 to 18.
