Here is a truly unique and very beautiful Art Deco era sapphire and diamond double sided pendant that is so versatile thanks to one side being set entirely with diamonds and the other with a sapphire in the centre.
Hand made in platinum in the 1920's, the pendant measures 26.2mm across by 26.6mm or 35.9mm to the top of the diamond set bail.
The design of this pendant is typical of the geometric designs of the jewellery created in the 1920's through to the 1940's and exemplifies why the Art Deco period is as popular today as when the beautiful creations were made all those year ago.
On the side with the sapphire, there are a twenty eight rose cut diamonds with a further four rose cut diamonds on the bail and the sapphire in the centre. The sapphire measures 0.12 carats and is a perfect blue colour that stands out against the pure white of the platinum and the sparkle from the diamonds.
The other side is again set with twenty eight rose cut diamonds with a further four rose cut diamonds on the bail, and in the centre is a European cut diamond. This centre diamond weighs 0.10 carats and the rose cuts come together to total 0.32 carats.
This is such an amazing piece of Art Deco jewellery that is literally two pieces of jewellery in one, that can be worn which ever way forward as the heart desires.
