Victorian diamond cluster earrings

$14,200.00

These antique earrings were so beautifully hand made in the Victorian era of the 1880’s and continue to look as regal today as when they were made.

Hand made in 18 carat rose gold and silver, the colour of the rose gold has a lovely warm tone to it that adds to the charm of the antique European cut diamonds that are set into each earring. At the top is one diamond that leads down to the cluster of one in the centre that is surrounded by eight more, that gives these earrings a total weight of4.48 carats. There is so much charm and character in antique diamonds and these earrings are truly spectacular.

Measuring 12.6mm across by 22.1mm to the top of the hooks, even the hooks have an ingenious locking system to keep them safe and secure on the ear.

These earrings are not only truly exquisite, but are destined to become a much loved and treasured piece.

When was the Victorian era?

The Victorian era was from 1837 until 1901. Until Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Victoria was the longest ruling monarch in British history. Queen Victoria was influential in not just politics, but also fashion. After Prince Albert died in 1861, Queen Victoria went into a perpetual state of mourning. During this time until her death, she wore only black, and popularised mourning jewellery.
