Victorian era antique Scottish agate brooch made in the 1890's

Queen Victoria loved her Stuart ancestry and loved Scottish agate jewellery making it so popular, and here is a wonderful antique Scottish agate brooch that shows just why it was and still is as beautiful today as when it was made over 130 years ago.

Made in sterling silver in the 1890's, the brooch measures 46mm by 37mm, and is set with eight pieces of highly polished agate that not only display such wonderful natural earthy colours, but is so smooth and tactile to touch.

With a very elegant scalloped design, combined with the colours of the agate, this brooch will quickly become the perfect piece to wear for any occasion and outfit - it truly is as versatile in when it is worn as it is attractive.
