Vintage 1941 Longines Calatrava watch

Here is an extremely handsome vintage Longines watch that was made in 1941 that will surprise so many when it is on the wrist.

Affectionately called the Longines Calatrava Oversize, the stainless steel case measures 34.5mm across plus the crown. Before anyone thinks that this watch will look small on the wrist, think again. This is an astonishing watch in that is faces up so much larger. This is due the the thin bezel on the watch allowing the dial to extend as far across as possible giving this watch a much larger appearance, and one that will so easily suit any wrist.

With the very elegant Roman numerals, and sub-seconds, this is highlighted by those original and very sleek hour and minute hands which compliment the watch so well. This watch truly looks so amazing on the wrist, and with the dial obtaining a lovely patina, even the case has some soft pitting which we decided to leave after just giving the case a light polish as it adds to its charm so well.

Inside it is powered by the manual wind Longines cailbre 2687, that has just been completely serviced by our in-house watch maker and comes with our twelve month warranty.

This vintage Longines has such an incredibly elegant and sophisticated look to it, and will always look perfect no matter the occasion that it is worn on.
