This iconic watch is so so highly sought after and this example is in such great condition. Fitted with a Rolex service dial, this means that when this Rolex went in for a service, the dial has been badly damaged, so Rolex replaced the original dial with an identical including the flat index markers and most importantly, the word "Submariner" written in red.
While its original papers would have been brilliant to accompany this Rolex, it does have service papers from Rolex which confirms that not only has it been serviced by Rolex, but all the components including the dial are 100% genuine. The biggest problem with the Rolex 1680 is non-genuine Rolex dials being added, making a non-red Submariner, become the red submariner.
Fitted in the traditional stainless steel Rolex Oyster case measuring 40mm across plus the Rolex Oyster screw down crown, it is fitted on the Rolex Oyster band which itself has proved its worth over the decades as one of the most robust watch bands ever made.
Inside is the 26 jewelled Rolex calibre 1570 that of course keeps perfect time and comes with our twelve month warranty.
