World War I Omega pocket watch

Here is an incredible antique Omega pocket watch that not only looks and feels good to hold in the palm of your hand, but was also one that was issued by the British Air Ministry during World War One.

Made in 1915 in a nickle silver case, the case measures 52mm across by 75.5mm to the top of the bow, and has a wonderful heft to hold in palm of your hand.

One the reverse it is marked with the markings for the Air Ministry as well as the British Broad Arrow,  and the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals is as clean and clear today as when it was made.

Inside the movement has been completely serviced by our in-house Omega authorised watchmaker and comes with our twelve month warranty.

Running beautifully, this is a wonderful example of not only an antique Omega pocket watch but also a piece of military history.

Where can I buy a vintage Omega watch in Australia?

From Kalmar Antiques in the Queen Victoria Building. For over thirty-five years, Kalmar Antiques have been dealing in vintage watches.

How often should I service my Omega?

As per official OMEGA guidelines, the service frequency depends on the use of the watch and the environment in which it is worn. The water resistance can, for example, be affected by the aging of the gaskets or by an accidental shock. Therefore, we recommend that you have the water resistance checked once a year and a complete service performed every 5 to 8 years.

Kalmar Antiques are now an authorised OMEGA watch service centre, based in the heart of Sydney in the Queen Victoria Building.

Should I take my watch to an authorised OMEGA service centre?

Taking your watch to an authorised OMEGA watch service centre such as Kalmar Antiques, will ensure that not only is your watch serviced to the highest standards, but only genuine Omega parts are used. This will also allow the watch to be covered by a two year warranty.
