Antique French clock with a mercury pendulum made by Charles Hour
Here is a very elegant antique clock that will look perfect on any mantle shelf, desk or sideboard, and combined with its graceful look, also sounds so beautiful as it strikes the time on the hour and half hour.
Made by the aptly named clock maker, Charles Hour in France in the late 1800's, this clock not only has such an attractive pendulum, but one that was designed not for looks, rather accuracy.
Whereas a standard pendulum can be affected by temperature in that a hot day will expand and subsequently lengthen a pendulum resulting in a longer swing and therefore losing time and the result being not being as accurate, a mercury pendulum overcomes this by having the mercury which is sealed safely in the two vials, giving it nowhere to expand but up. Not only does this result in a very reliable and accurate clock, but aesthetically they are also so visually pleasing to admire.
Fitted with a white enamel dial displaying traditional Roman numerals, the 8-day movement as mentioned earlier strikes so beautifully to tell the hour as well as indicating the half hour and has been completely serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty.
With the white marble complimenting the brass perfectly, sitting atop is that magnificent lion that has such a regal and strong look that accentuates the charm and character of the clock as whole.
Measuring 34cm tall to the top of the base or 40cm to the top of the lion, by 19cm across by 14cm deep, this clock is one that will always be admired no matter what room it is placed in.

Extremely high grade antique Zenith time and strike single key clock
Here is such a unique and exceedingly rare antique single key time and strike clock by the esteemed clock and watchmaking company, Zenith.
The amazing feature with this clock that is found on no other, is that it has only one key to wind both the clock movement and the bell that strikes the hours and on the half hour.
Whereas a "traditional" time and strike clock will have two key holes - one to wind the movement, and the other the striker, this one has just one and winding it one way will wind the movement, and the other with wind the striker. Not only is finding a single key hole time and strike clock rare, but finding a clock this size by Zenith is also unheard of.
Made in solid mahogany with a gorgeous inlay, the clock measures 33.5cm tall by 25cm wide and 14cm deep and will sit perfect on any table or mantle shelf.
With a delightful strike on the hour and the half hour, the clock has been completely serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty and there is no doubt that this will be a magnificent addition to any room.

Antique French bronze clock by Farcot depicting Chinese fire dogs.
Here is a truly exceptional antique bronze time and strike clock that not only sounds so beautiful when it strikes the hours and half hours, but looks truly amazing and is like no other.
To begin with the subject nature is wonderful and the depiction and craftsmanship that went into making this with so much detail is truly extraordinary. The detail in the fire dogs themselves, as well as the clock and the base will have you admiring it from near or far, and to make it even more special, it was all made out of bronze as opposed to the more commonly seen spelter. While many antique clocks were made of spelter, bronze has been and still is regarded as the far superior metal that has been used for centuries in not just clocks, but of course world famous sculptures such as The Thinker by Rodin and of course David by Donatello. The patina of this clock is just magical and along with the subject matter will make sure that is always gets the attention and admiration that it so rightly deserves.
Measuring 38cm across by 35cm deep it stands 22cm tall and will sit perfectly on any mantle, desk or pedestal and when it strikes on each hour and half hour with the most delicate "ping" you will fall in love with this clock even more.
With the dial displaying Chinese numerals that are as clear today as when it was made, inside is a beautiful fully restored 8 day movement by Farcot that runs perfectly and comes with our twelve month warranty.
This is a clock truly like no other.
