Here is without a doubt one of the sweetest and most charming antique bangles around and one that will always make you smile when you see the depiction of a young boy and girl on the front. Made in the Victorian period in the 1890's, the bangle measures 25.4mm wide and being oval and hinged sits so well on the wrist and is very comfortable to wear all the time. While these wide antiques bangles are still around and popular to wear, it is the engraving on the front that really separates this one from many others. With such a charming engraving on the front of a young boy and girl, it is this image that really captures and melts the heart making this such a special and unique piece. And then on each side, it has been further hand engraved to such a high detail and quality which itself is so lovely to admire and this is certainly going to be a wonderful talking point and a bangle that will always be loved. Sitting perfectly on the wrist, this antique sterling silver and gold bangle was made in 1883 and measures 19mm wide and is so comfortable to wear day or night. In wonderful condition even well after 130 years since being made, this alone is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of the jewellers of the Victorian period. Made in sterling silver, the front section has a wonderful floral design that is highlighted with both rose and green gold. While rose gold is still around today, green gold was only really used in the later part of the 20th Century when this bangle was made. With a lovely soft green tone to it, in this bangle it is used perfectly to highlight the leaves, and the rose gold to highlight the flowers. This makes a wonderful feature and is sure to always be such a superb talking point. Being hinged will allow this bangle to sit nice and close to the wrist and will always be admired no matter where or when it is worn. Stock# ES8170 Hallmarked: Birmingham 1883 $Sold
