Here is such an amazing and rare antique family locket that holds not two, but six photos and is so beautifully hand engraved on both sides. Made in rolled gold which was a technique used from the 1860's where a layer of solid gold was bonded to metal, this is so much stronger and longer lasting than simply gold plating and also has the distinct advantage of being able to be engraved. With only the slightest amount of wear showing on the side, it is a testament to the quality and longevity of rolled gold. Measuring 24.6mm across by 27.8mm it is the perfect size to wear on a chain and thanks to the exquisite engraving can so easily be worn with either side facing forward. This is a spectacular example of an antique locket that will always be admired from near or far. Stock# ES9091 Circa: 1880 $2,650
