Perfect for any time of the day or night as well as any occasion, there is no doubt that this sterling silver Art Deco guilloché enamel arm bangle made in the 1920's will always be admired thanks for the beautiful enamel as well as its colour. Going back to the 18th Century, guilloché is a decorative technique in which a very precise and repetitive pattern is engraved into an underlying material such as gold or silver and then the enamel applied over the top. After the firing process is completed, it is polished back to a high lustre revealing the engraved pattern below the surface as can be seen in this bangle. The pattern is really captivating and the enamel has such a wonderful tactile feel to it, and of course this wonderful powder blue colour is just amazing. Measuring 8.7mm wide, the internal diameter measures 7cm across which will allow it to sit higher up the arm than just on the wrist and gives that reminiscent look of the fabulous Art Deco period of the 1920's. With the enamel still in wonderful condition, this is a very beautiful and attractive example of a genuine Art Deco bangle that will always be loved. Stock# ES8442 Circa: 1920 $Sold.
