Jewellery from the Retro period of the 1940's and 1950's, often used large bold designs in rose gold accompanied by large gemstones, all of which can be seen here in this incredible Retro aquamarine and ruby ring in rose gold. So typical of the era, this ring certainly makes a statement and was made in 18ct rose gold. The warm colour from the rose gold is just amazing and looks incredible against the skin. Sitting proud in the centre is a large and impressive aquamarine measuring 29.2 carats in weight. With a fabulous blue colour to it, both the aquamarine and the ring design itself is then highlighted by the the three baguette cut rubies on each side. These rubies total 0.48 carats and lead down to showcase the step design of the ring which also accentuates the straight lines of the aquamarine. This wonderful design really showcases the incredible aquamarine and the brilliant designs that were created and shows why Retro jewellery has had a massive resurgence in popularity in recent years. No matter the time of day or night that this ring is worn, there is no denying that it will always be admired and impress all who see it. Stock# ES7465 Circa: 1940 $Sold.
