Antique suffragette pendant from the Edwardian era of the early 1900’s
The Suffragette movement was pivotal in such things as giving the right to vote to women, and was a very strong and powerful movement that started in the late 1800’s, and is easily recognisable by having three main colours, green, white and violet which makes such a wonderful colour combination.
Made in 9 carat gold, set into this pendant that dates from the early 1900's, it is set with peridot for the green, pearls for the white and amethyst for the violet in such an elegant design. The way the amethysts are suspended at the bottom, to the peridot in the centre and double chain that leads to the bail for a chain to pass through, all make this such a beautiful pendant to wear for any occasion.
Measuring 25.5mm across by 61.5mm, this pendant is both as important and beautiful today as it was when it was made over 100 years ago.

The suffragette movement was pivotal in giving women the right to vote and was characterised by having the colours green, white and violet as can be seen here in this very beautiful antique Edwardian era suffragette pendant made in 15 carat gold.
Dating from the early 1900's, the pendant measures 29mm across by 31mm or 44.1mm to the top of the bail and has an elegant flowing design that is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau era.
With a peridot in the centre and an amethyst suspended from the bottom, there are also four seed pearls to complete the colours.

The suffragette movement started in the late 19th Century and was defining in allowing woman to vote and was often represented by the colours green, white and violet that was used in jewellery worn and is seen here in this very elegant Edwardian era suffragette pendant in its original box.
The colours associated with the suffragette movement are green, white and violet, and here in this suffragette pendant, the heart shaped amethyst is surrounded by the very rare green demantoid garnets and those charming natural pearls and this gorgeous pendant is aesthetically perfect and sits so well on the neckline.
Dating from the early 1900’s, it was made by the English jewellery company Austin and Williams and also comes in its original velvet lined box that adds that extra bit of history to an already historical movement.
