This is such an elegant and stylish example of a genuine Art Deco brooch that dates from the 1930's.
In a design that allows it to be worn horizontal or at an angle, it was expertly hand made in 14ct gold and platinum. In the centre is a magnificent Ceylonese sapphire that is the most perfect blue colour and measures 0.80 carats. The colour of this sapphire is magnificent and is made all the more attractive by being set alongside diamonds to add that extra sparkle.
Surrounding the sapphire are four diamonds and then on each side are five more diamonds that bring the total diamond weight to 1.40 carats.
From left to right the brooch measures 6.7cm across and at the centre, the cluster measures 1.1cm wide. On the back of the brooch and showing just how well made this brooch was crafted, there is a small extension on the back to prevent the brooch from turning over.
This is such an elegant example of an Art Deco brooch that is set with a stunning natural Ceylonese sapphire and highlighted with diamonds.
