There is nothing quite like the feel and heft of an antique pocket watch in the palm of your hand and here is a very solid and handsome antique 14ct pocket watch retailed by the Australian jewellery company Saunders in the early 1900’s.
This is a full hunter pocket watch meaning that there is a cover on the front and is crown wind and set meaning that the pocket watch is wound via the crown and when pulled out is used to set the time making it a very easy and comfortable pocket watch to use even on a daily basis.
Fitted into a solid 14ct gold case, the case measures 50mm by 67mm to the top of the crown and this gents pocket watch feels magnificent to hold. With the spring and hinges in excellent condition to open the cover to reveal the spotless original white enamel dial with numbers and the sub-seconds, the dial is signed “Saunders Ltd Sydney”.
Saunders were a jewellery company that started in 1884 until merging with Angus & Coote in the 1970’s giving this pocket watch a bit of wonderful Australian history.
Inside is a gorgeous Swiss made movement that has been fully serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty and keeps perfect time even after all these years.
If you or someone you know loves antique pocket watches as much as we do, then this might just be the one you have been looking for.
