Although found during the centuries before the late-Victorian era, collars were very popular during the 1880’s and 1890’s. More commonly found in sterling silver, it is rare to find them in gold. 15ct gold was a carat of gold that was only used for a relatively short period of time from 1854 until 1931 making it quite rare. This antique collar is not only in exceptional condition, but also such an incredible design that will look amazing around any neck.
