Here is an amazing 15ct gold antique diamond brooch by Henry Newman and Sons that was not only made by one of Australia's most well regarded jewellers, but is also featured in the Australian Jewellers book on page 176.
Hand made in 15ct rose gold, the colour of the gold alone makes this such an attractive piece on any outfit and combined with a combination of antique rose cut diamonds and European cut diamonds, this is one antique brooch that certainly sparkles.
Measuring an impressive 6.6cm in length by 1.5cm, it is set with twenty six rose cut diamonds that total 0.38 carats and four European cut diamonds that total 0.40 carats and the larger European cut diamond that measures 0.70 carats, bringing the total diamond weight of this magnificent brooch to 1.48 carats.
With all the charm and character of yesteryear, this antique diamond brooch by one of Australia's most highly respected jewellers is certainly a special piece to love and wear with pride.

Henry Newman (1852-1913) was a jeweller and watchmaker who opened his store in Melbourne in 1852 in Elizabeth Street. While in business, he made a name for himspef as one of the finest jewellers in Melbourne at the time. With his son Fred Newman, they were involved with the pearling industry in Western Australia during the early part of the 1900's.
