There is something so nice about wearing an antique signet ring, and here is a very attractive signet ring set with a garnet in the most wonderful design and made in rose gold.
Made by the Australian company Macrow and Sons in the early 1900's, this signet ring is made in 15ct rose gold. Antique jewellery such as rings look so good in rose gold and have that warmth that makes it so desirable without being too coppery in colour as much of the modern rose gold today is and this signet ring look so good on the finger.
At the top is a shield design that itself measures 10.7mm across by 10.6mm and is of course claw set with an oval facetted garnet that matches so well with the rose gold.
The band itself measures 7.3mm across where the shield is set and tapers so elegantly down to 5.3mm at the back
Typical of many antique rings of this time, the sides are very beautifully engraved giving this antique signet ring even more character and appeal.
Overall this is a very attractive and elegant example of an antique signet ring and made in 15ct rose gold, the lovely garnet as well as being made by an early Australian jewellery company all go to make this a really wonderful antique signet ring that can still so easily be worn all the time even 100 years after being made.
