A picture tells a thousand words, and inscribed inside this ring is a story of love between two people which adds to the charm and character of the ring.
Made in 15ct gold, this antique ruby and pearl ring was made in Birmingham in 1900 and is set with two rubies and three pearls with delightful work on the sides. The ring also tapers beautifully in size from 6.4mm wide at the centre down to 2.4mm wide at the back.
The way the rubies and pearls are set into the ring make it not only very comfortable to wear all the time but very practical as well.
And looking inside the band reveals a simple yet elegant hand engraving that simply says “D.R to M.McK 1902“. Who these two people are we do not know so the mystery ends here, however it is the sweet sentiment from one person to another that makes you smile with the thought of two people in love all those years ago.
A very sweet and elegant antique ruby and pearl ring with a romantic engraving inside.
