18 carat gold antique snake ring set with rubies and diamonds.
$0.00
The snake design in jewellery goes as far back as Roman times and represented eternal love and was also embraced during the romantic Victorian era when this ring was made.
Made in 18 carat yellow gold in Birmingham in 1894, the ring measures an impressive 13.9mm wide at the centre by 10.3mm wide at the back and it has such a smooth feel to it that is so tactile to touch and feels incredible to wear.
With two natural rubies for its eyes, there are three larger mine cut diamonds that total 0.23 carats and lead down to two smaller single cut diamonds that total 0.05 carats. These diamonds not only sparkle beautifully, but they also have all the charm and character of being genuine antique cut diamonds that were cut by hand over 120 years ago.
Still in wonderful condition, this ring has a look and feel that will make it so easy to wear with other antique jewellery just as much as modern contemporary jewellery and always fit right in.

18 carat gold antique snake ring set with rubies and diamonds.
This antique snake ring is set with three mine cut diamonds and two single cut diamonds. The mine cut diamond is also affectionately called cushion cut diamonds, as they have a somewhat squarish shape similar to a cushion.
The snake design in jewellery goes back to Roman times and was also often seen in Georgian and Victorian times. Representing an eternal love, this romantic style has been seen throughout the ages. Indeed Queen Victoria’s own engagement ring was a snake ring set with rubies, emeralds and diamonds. This entwined double antique snake ring was made in 18 carat yellow gold and set with two European cut diamonds. Made by hand, it has such a smooth and tactile feel to it.
