18 carat Rolex President Day-Date in superb condition

For decades the Rolex Day-Date 'President" has been such an iconic and highly sought after watch, and here is a brilliant Rolex President 18038 that dates from 1980 and is in spectacular condition.

Made in solid 18 carat yellow gold,  quite often these are being found with their gold bands suffering from flex which can be seen as the band sagging down when held on its side, however this one is in incredible condition. You really will be hard pressed to find one with a band as good as this making this still practical to wear every day.

With the case measuring 36mm across plus the crown, on the outer edge of the dial are small black Roman numerals that adds to the elegance of the watch and inside it is powered by the venerable 27 jewelled automatic Rolex calibre 3035 that has just come back from a full service, runs perfectly and comes with our twelve month warranty.

The Rolex President has always remained the pinnacle of models by Rolex, and this one is as good as it gets.

Description

18 carat Rolex President Day-Date in superb condition

This Rolex 18038 is in such good condition including the solid gold Rolex President band.

Since its release in 1956, the Rolex Day Date “President” has always remained a sought after Rolex model. The Rolex Day Date became one to represent success and accomplishment as it was worn by some very influential people. Becoming known as the “Presidents’ watch” as several US presidents wore one. These included US Presidents such as Dwight Eisenhower, John F Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon. The Rolex Day Date has also been worn by Winston Churchill. Initially the tern “President” referred to the type of bracelet attached to the Day Date, however it soon came to commonly refer to the entire timepiece. The Rolex Day Date 1803 was introduced in 1961 and over the years has undergone some changes. Most notably with the movement, and until recently a now larger watch case.
