18ct antique European cut diamond ring from the 1890's

This ring is well over 100 years old and still looks so modern with such a contemporary design, leaving little doubt that this 18ct antique European cut diamond ring from the 1890's will always be admired no matter the finger that is is worn on.

Set in the centre of the ring is a lovely genuine antique European cut diamond that measures 0.48 carats and has such a wonderful sparkle to it. The European cut diamond was the forerunner to the modern round brilliant cut diamond and has become so popular in recent years.

Measuring 7.6mm wide at the centre, the band tapers down so elegantly to 2.5mm wide at the back.There is something so elegant and stylish about this ring in a very non-pretentious way that will have it continually admired.

Perfect as a unique wedding or engagement ring, it will also so easily suit any finger and is perfect for any occasion.

This antique diamond ring is set with a European cut diamond. The forerunner to today’s round brilliant cut diamond, the European cut diamond has increased in popularity once again in recent years. With 58 facets (cuts) like today’s round brilliant cut diamond, but as they were cut by hand over a century ago, the angles of the facets are usually slightly higher than today.
