Here is a spectacular antique pocket watch that was made in the early 19th Century and is still in such superb condition after 200 years in not only the case and dial but the movement which works perfectly and is a real testament to pocket watch makers of years gone by.
Made by Marchand in Switzerland around 1810, the white enamel dial is all completely original and still in superb condition and with the black numerals is still so easy to read.
Fitted with Breguet style hands that really compliment the pocket watch dial, all goes to make this a wonderful antique pocket watch that looks so good in the palm of your hand.
Made in a solid 18ct yellow gold case, the case back in engraved with a wonderful spiral design that looks so attractive and the case itself measures 54mm across by 69mm from the bottom to the top with the bow up.
Inside is its real pièce de résistance when you see the magnificent fusee movement. The hand pierced balance cock alone is incredible to look at and admire and is again a real testament to the superb quality that able to be produced well before the advent of computers.
