This is a sensational antique ruby and diamond ring dating from the 1870’s and set with 2 wonderful coloured rubies and 2 diamonds.

Hand made in 18ct yellow gold, the setting is so typical of the Victorian rings of this era and really sets each ruby and each diamond off so well giving this antique ring so much sparkle.
Even the sides of the band have been delightfully hand engraved giving this ring that extra something special.

The 2 natural rubies have the most vibrant red colour that has been so desired over the centuries and the colour of both of them is just perfect. The rubies total 0.80 carats, and set along side the diamonds and in yellow gold really stand out so well.
Rubies have always been highly desired from all people from all continents all the way up to royalty and these natural rubies both have a colour that years ago was referred to as “pigeon blood” due to its intense colour and these rubies are from Burma that has historically always been the producer of the finest coloured rubies in the world.
With 2 old cut diamonds to give this antique ring a wonderful sparkle, they total 0.70 carats, and are dazzling and have all the charm of an antique hand cut diamond.

From left to right to each end of each ruby it measures 12.2mm across and sitting nice and flat on the finger makes this an antique ruby and diamond ring that is so easy and practical to wear all the time.
