For centuries Columbia has been known as the source of the finest emeralds in the world, and here are an incredibly elegant pair of 18ct Colombian emerald and diamond earrings.
Perfectly suited to be worn with any outfit, each earring is set with an incredibly vivid pear shaped natural Colombian emerald and square cut diamond.
Both the emeralds and the diamonds were taken from an original 1920's era Art Deco ring that had been damaged beyond repair, so our Master jewellery expertly hand made these in 18ct yellow and white gold resulting in the gorgeous earrings you see here.
With a fine milgrain around the setting which was a style in the Art Deco period which can be seen as the crimping along the edge of the setting which is replicated in these earrings to still let them have a throwback to where they came from, these emerald and diamond earrings are nothing short of spectacular.
The emeralds total 1.76 carats and the diamonds 0.25 carats, and from the bottom of the earring to the top of the shepherd hooks, this distance measures 25.7mm in length or 17.4mm to the top of the diamond making these such an elegant length to wear and really show off with pride.
Natural Colombian emeralds are becoming harder and harder to find each year, so it is wonderful that we could use some from the 1920's and give them a new lease on life.
