Cushion cut stones were very popular in the 19th Century and earlier, and are so called as they have a wonderful somewhat rounded edge to them making them neither straight sided or round and here is a very attractive cushion cut aquamarine and diamond ring.
Set into 18ct white gold, the aquamarine has such a wonderful blue to it and measures 2.55 carats in weight.
With the claw setting to allow maximum light to enter the aquamarine really sets it off as does the surrounding setting of 22 round brilliant cut diamonds.
The setting with the diamonds measures 12.2mm across by 12.1mm and looks superb on the finger.
Then on each side there are 3 more round brilliant cut diamonds going down the side of the band to add more sparkle and pizazz to this ring.
Cushion cut stones have such a unique and special charm to them and this cushion cut aquamarine surrounded by diamonds looks simply spectacular on the finger.
