Here is a great combination of old meets new in this wonderful diamond engagement ring. Made in 18ct white gold in a very traditional setting reminiscent of 1920’s Art Deco rings, this engagement ring is so full of character.
In the centre is a lovely old European cut diamond that was in a ring that was beyond repair so we have given it another lease of life here in this modern engagement ring.
The European cut was a forerunner to today’s round brilliant cut diamond that has 58 facets like today’s diamond but as they were cut by hand they have different angles on the facets.
Weighing 0.24 carats it is G in colour and Si in clarity and then there are 16 round brilliant cut diamonds surrounding them. With 14 more each down each side.
These other diamonds total 0.24 carats and are G in colour and Vs in clarity and sparkle beautifully.
The cluster section at the top measures 6mm in diameter so although not a large ring it certainly is sweet and made all the more beautiful be the wonderful engraved sides and scroll work under the setting.
A very pretty diamond engagement ring, this really is a case of old meets new in a wonderful way that simply works.
