There is nothing like the feel of an antique solid gold gents pocket watch in the palm of your hand.
From the heft of the case, the pushing down on the crown and seeing that cover flip open to reveal a very elegant dial with Roman numerals, to the mechanical movement, it is so easy to fall in love with the charm and character that only an antique pocket watch has.
This particular pocket watch was made by Elgin in 1884 and is fitted in a very nice solid 18ct yellow gold case that feels superb in the hand.
Both sides of the case are polished with no engine turned design or engraving of any sort and the hinges are in excellent condition with a great "spring" to the front cover when it is opened.
The total weight of the pocket watch is 116.7 grams and that is why it feels so solid and firm in the hand and is why solid gold pocket watch cases are always desired.
With the traditional look of the white dial with black Roman numerals, this pocket watch has all the charm and character of a bygone era.
Inside is a fully jewelled crown wind movement that has been fully serviced and even comes with our 1 year warranty with all the original parts still working perfectly even 125 years later.
Wound via the crown at the top, and set by pulling out the discreet lever between the 4 and 5 o'clock position, this is a very solid, handsome and elegant antique pocket watch for any gentleman out there.
