Brief history on Patek Philippe:
Since being founded by Polish watchmaker Antoni Patek and in French watchmaker Antoni Patek in 1851, Patek Philippe and Co have made a name as one of, if not the finest watchmaking companies in the world and have had owners of their time pieces such as Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and Pope Pius IX.
Not only did they pioneer the perpetual calendar, minute repeater function in watches and split-seconds hand chronograph, they also created the world's most expensive pocket watch - the Henry Graves Supercompilation made in 1933 and with twenty four functions, and sold in 2014 for (US)$24,000,000.
Today, as over 150 years ago, Patek Philippe & Co continue to be regarded as the best of the best.
