The retro period of the 1950's produced some truly wonderful designed jewellery that can only be called fabulous!
And this 1950's rose gold ruby and diamond retro ring is simply fab!
Retro rings can be co easily characterised by the large bold somewhat angular designs often set with precious gemstones such as in this retro ring with both rubies and diamonds.
The designs of the rings went away from thin bands and a fine top where the gemstones were set to large bold settings and bands to match.
This retro ring was made in 18ct gold, and another characteristic of the retro period is the use of rose gold instead of yellow, such as was used in creating this ring. The rose colour of the gold is so soft and warm and the design of this retro ring alone on the finger is stunning.
However making it more wonderful is the combination of both rubies and diamonds giving this retro ring both colour and sparkle.
There are 5 rectangle cut rubies and 11 round diamonds that add some serious sparkle and pizazz to this ring.
The diamonds total 0.74 carats and the rubies 0.25 carats, and this retro rose gold ring will make a wonderful statement on the finger.
Retro jewellery especially retro rings are becoming so popular today thanks to the wonderful bold designs and use of rose gold combines with precious gemstones, and this example here is a truly fabulous retro ring with rubies and diamonds!
