18ct white gold Art Deco facetted onyx and diamond ring

Black and white works so well together as can be seen here in this very beautiful 18ct white gold Art Deco facetted onyx and diamond ring dating from the 1940’s.

Beautifully hand made, often these onyx and diamond Art Deco rings would have a flat piece of onyx, whereas this one has a wonderful facetted piece of black onyx which really makes this ring so unique.

And then sitting proudly in the centre is a 0.12 carat early brilliant cut diamond to catch your eye and set into the black makes it stand out even more.

The onyx measures 13.1mm across by 14.7mm and sits so comfortably on the finger, and then on each side of the band, there is also a rose cut diamond.  This adds to the charm and character of this ring and to highlight and make the ring even more unique and special. These additional diamonds just show how much thought and attention that went into making this ring during the fabulous Art Deco period and why Art Deco rings and other pieces of jewellery have never gone out of fashion or style.

The work that can be seen under the ring also shows the quality and level of craftsmanship that went into making this ring.
