Here is an amazing ring that was made towards the end of the Art Deco period and right before the retro period and takes inspiration from both eras resulting in a truly fabulous diamond ring.
Made in France around 1940, the ring is made in 18ct white gold and the diamonds set in a wonderful geometric design with this amazing cubism inspiration.
The Art Deco period was from the 1920's to the 1940's where then the retro period came in with large bold designs going away from the finer geometric designs of Art Deco jewellery and this ring clearly has both influences in its design.
Jewellers in France during both of these eras created some truly spectacular and unique designs in their jewellery and this is so evident in this diamond ring.
The 2 main round diamonds are both set into square settings with stepped down sides set with more diamonds. There are a further 5 diamonds set on each side and the total weight of all the diamonds is 0.60 carats and they all sparkle wonderfully.
The ring measures 11.5mm in width by 15mm wide and stands out so well on the finger.
Art Deco and retro jewellery both have such amazing designs and to get a diamond ring that has influences from both great eras makes this a truly unique and individual diamond ring like no other and one that is destined to always be admired and get the attention it deserves.
