1959 ladies Omega Sapphette watch in gold

The Omega Sapphette watch was first introduced in 1955 and was the first model by Omega to be fitted with a sapphire crystal.
Easily identifiable by the wonderful faceted crystal, the Omega Sapphette was without a doubt one of the most elegant ladies Omega watch ever produced.
And here we have a wonderful vintage Omega Sapphette watch dating from 1959 and fitted in a solid 14ct white gold case that looks so elegant and feminine on the wrist.

The dial of this Omega is so wonderful to admire with the facetted sapphire crystal which adds so much extra charm and character to the watch and then there are the fancy lugs typical of the late 1950's and a wonderful throwback in time when a ladies watch was a ladies watch.
From left to right the watch case measures 17mm across plus the Omega crown by 25.2mm from end to end of the fancy lugs.

Inside is a magnificent 17 jewelled manual wind Omega calibre 482 that has just come back from a full restoration, runs perfectly and comes with our 12 month warranty.

Vintage Omega watches are always so collectible and this one is so beautiful from its fancy cut crystal to the 14ct gold case that compliments it so well.
